Snow Day Makeup and PowerSchool

posted Apr 6, 2009, 7:22 AM by lesplin@tech.washk12.org
The December 18th snow day added a complication to our Calendar that needs to be corrected on PowerSchool. April 10th is now a school day, originally April 10 was a holiday and December 18th was a school day. If we just add April 10th as a school day our calendars would be 181 days long. Here are the steps to correct the problem.
  1. Under Setup on the main PowerSchool Page click on School and then select Calendar Setup.

  2. At the top of Calendar setup select 4/09.

  3. You will see the holiday that is currently scheduled for that day. Change it to a school day by adding the day, schedule, In-Session, Memb-Value and Type. It should look like the other school days. Submit and the changes will be saved.

  4. Next switch to December and mark the 18th as a non school day.

  5. That should do it.
