Alternate Grade Scales in PowerTeacher Gradebook

PowerTeacher 1.5 allows teachers add customized grade scales to their classes. The custom scales can be applied to an individual student or to the whole class.

Add a Custom Grade Scale
  • Open the PowerTeacher Gradebook and go to Grade Setup then choose Grade Scales (see image below).
  • Choose the grade scale you wish to modify, usually Default, and then click on the + button below the grade scales to copy the scale. 
  • Rename and describe the grade scale the customize the grade scale to meet your needs. You can edit cutoff, percent, description or ignore grades.

Assign a Custom Scale to a Student
  • Select a class and then choose students.
  • Assign the modified grade scale by right clicking on the last column, Grade Scale, for the student. Choose Set Grade Scale.
  • Choose the applicable grade scale and then OK.
  • The new grade scale should now display for the student.

  • Assign the modified grade scale by right clicking on the last column, Grade Scale, for any student and choose Set Grade Scale.
  • Select the radio button Displayed Students to select all students in the current class or group. Choose the applicable grade scale and then OK.
  • The new grade scale should now display for the student.
